Club & Society Essential Skills

  • Data protection
  • Duty of care

Managing Your Money

Managing Your Money is a compulsory course for society treasurers, and is completed online. You can access the course using this link: Managing Your Money. The information is there so you can come back to it and refer to it at any time.

Schedule:

This course is online so there are no sessions. Go here to start the course. If you have any questions or queries then email the Societies Officer

First Aid

We also provide a basic First Aid course, run by an external teacher. If you're going on a trip or tour, one of your exec members on that trip or tour must have completed the First Aid course in the previous 12 months (the course has to be renewed annually).

Basic Training

From time to time additional short courses and workshops are available throughout the year to give you the basics on how to run your society, details on roles, responsibilities and skills, how to work well as an exec and how the union can support you. Please see signups above for current courses. Student Careers & Skills at the University also provide a range of excellent skills development training. You can find out more here: Develop your Skills
