The Students’ Union is the focal point of campus life here at Warwick, but what exactly is it that makes your Union so unique? Here are a few basic facts about who we are and what we do…

Education

One of the primary purposes of Warwick SU is to represent you - whether that’s to your academic department, to the University, the local council or nationally. We're a great place to get support and help - we work alongside the Advice Centre to deal with academic issues such as appeals and complaints, along with wider issues surrounding Higher Education. Remember that our collective voice is much stronger than a lone one!

University News

  • Last night (Thursday 25 April) a number of tents were erected on the Piazza by Warwick Stands With Palestine – a coalition of student and staff organisations. We are talking to members of the coalition and engaging positively. We are aware of an agenda for action that has been shared via social media channels. The protest is planned for Friday 26 April and Saturday 27 April and activities have been planned until 5.30pm. Although freedom of speech is a vital component of university life, we remind staff and students to respect the views that are different from their own, with kindness, respect and empathy. We will of course, keep you up to date with any developments.

  • Do you have a great idea for celebrating Warwick’s 60th anniversary – but also some questions? Would you like some guidance on filling in the submission form? Join an online drop-in session (open to all staff) to talk to the team.

  • Who do you think deserves to be recognised for celebrating diversity, supporting an inclusive culture, or leading on social inclusion and influencing change? Nominate them for the Social Inclusion Staff Award before Friday 10 May.

  • At this time of year, mice, rabbits, foxes and badgers are out and about foraging for food and expanding their families. In this episode of Spring at Warwick, Tanya Carey from WMG introduces some of our bright-eyed and bushy-tailed friends on campus.

  • You’re invited to nominate one academic staff member and one professional services staff member of the Assembly to serve as a member of the Senate from 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2027.
