About me
- Second year law student
- a Global Excellence Scholarship holder
- Editor for Warwick Law Journal
Why I am running?
I'm running to be your Women's Officer because, as a law student, I know the challenges women face in male-dominated fields. At Warwick, I've seen how crucial it is to have a supportive community where women can thrive. I want to use my experience to amplify female voices, push for equal opportunities, and ensure that women, especially in underrepresented fields, have the support to excel.
Let's Empower, Elevate, and Celebrate - Women at Warwick!
My goals
Empowering and Celebrating Women
- Create initiatives that celebrate the achievements and diverse experiences of women at Warwick.
- Organize events such as Women in Leadership panels, body positivity workshops, and cultural celebrations that highlight the strength and individuality of all women. Promote a campus culture where femininity in all forms is embraced and uplifted.
Bridging the Gender Pay Gap & Financial Empowerment
- Offer workshops on salary negotiation, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship to help women gain confidence in managing finances and securing equal opportunities in the workforce.
Better Campus Lighting & Safe Transport at Night
- Ensure all key areas on and around campus are well-lit and campaign for safe travel initiatives for women.
Encouraging Women in Academia
- Promote women's academic achievements through panels, networking events, and mentorship programs that connect female students with professors and researchers.
- Advocate for more funding and visibility for women-led research and push for better work-life balance policies to retain female academics.
