MORE COMMUNICATION

  • We aim to bridge gaps between departments and find common causes of disability concerns.
  • We will make university-wide recommendations and campion a collective approach to ensure long-lasting change.

POLICY SCRUTINY AND CHANGE

  • We believe no student should miss out on the content of their degree and will campaign for the cross-departmental standardisation of lecture capture through an opt-out system.
  • We will advocate for policies that create a more inclusive environment for everyone, establishing more support for those without a diagnosis.

A RE-EVALUATION OF REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS

  • We will hold departments to account by making RAs watertight and iron-clad, ensuring access requirements cannot be changed or taken away.
  • We aim to ensure RAs are tailored to the individual needs of students.

PUBLICISING INFORMATION

  • By championing the universtiy's Code of Practice for Disabled Students, we will aid students seeking access requirements from departments, increasing awareness of university recommendations and guidelines.
  • We will create clear, visual guides to clarify the process of accessing support from disability and mental health services.
