Email a link to the event page to your members (remember to remove the “Execs Only” restriction if you put this in place earlier) using the Messages online tool.
If you are using other methods of communication to promote the event, make sure they contain the details people will require to locate the tickets. Typically, the best way to sell the tickets is online or at the SU Reception counter.
Track ticket sales using the Sales Reports admin tool – remember to set the report dates to cover the entire sales period (by default it only shows the last month). If ticket sales are low you might need to consider more promotional activity.
Update the spreadsheet (on the Breakevens page)with your ticket sales to check what the sales mean for your overall situation – remember that the balance between members and non-members will have an impact on your budget.
If you have cut back on planned entertainments or optional elements earlier in the planning, but now have enough tickets sold to justify reintroducing them, don’t forget to inform your Coordinator at the SU and your venue and supplier.
When your ticket sales period has closed use the Customisations report within the Sales Report admin tool (remembering to select the entire sales period again) to pull out the menu choices and any other important information for the venue.
