Warwick SU Header
Hi everyone,
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Autumn Elections, whether that be nominating yourself for a position or voting. The results are now available to view!
Thank you as well to those who completed our online teaching and learning survey. We were able to present the data before senior management at the University, securing changes in the Term 2 and Term 3 offer for classes.
Finally, it's the week of our Black Brilliance launch event, taking place tomorrow in Scarman House at 7pm! Lined up to speak are:
  • Ayo Afolabi, Senior Manager of IDSE and Black Leadership, Co-Chair of the African & Caribbean Network, KPMG UK
  • Ceewhy Ochoga, founder and CEO of Black Impact
  • Kulbir Shergill, Director of Social Inclusion at the University of Warwick (previously at Grant Thornton LLP and KPMG)
...amongst many others! There are a limited number of 50 free tickets available, so scroll down to book your place.
Best wishes,
Shingai R. Dzumbira
President

Housing Talks

The SU Advice Centre's second Housing Talk takes place this Wednesday 27th October online at 2pm. This session focuses on contracts, deposits and right to rent. This will be followed by a live Q&A where you will get the opportunity to ask about renting accommodation.

Warwick SU Supports Warwick's Night In

Warwick SU fully supports the Warwick's Night In protest planned for next week, following increased reports of drink-spiking at venues on and off campus. We stand in solidarity with their cause, and will be closing our Copper Rooms and Terrace Bar venues from 6pm on Wednesday 27th October.

Sustainability Skills Survey

Be in with a chance of winning £500 by completing SOS-UK's confidential survey about your time at university and your skills development. This will take about 15 minutes to complete, and you will be entered into a draw to win £500, or one of 10 £50 runner-up prizes.

Widening Participation Network

The Widening Participation Student Network is a space for UG and PG students from Widening Participation backgrounds to share your experiences. The first event takes place on 3rd November from 4:00 – 5:30pm. Sign up to the mailing list to find out more!
