Hi there, |
I hope you’re doing well and staying safe, and that any exams or assessments you’ve had so far this term have been going to plan! |
Term 3 can be a stressful time of year for everyone, especially those of you with exams and assessment deadlines. Please remember that if anything has negatively impacted your studies and ability to complete any of these assessments, you can submit a mitigating circumstances request through Tabula. There’s no evidential threshold for most mitigating circumstances requests, although when submitting a request, you should try and provide as much detail as possible about how and why your studies have been impacted. I would encourage you to submit a request if you feel negatively impacted in any way, including as a result of the pandemic or any external factors, as no claim is too small to be considered. |
Also, please do remember that if you need support with making a mitigating circumstances request, or need advice relating to anything from housing and rent to academic issues, you can get in contact with the SU’s independent and confidential Advice Centre. If you’re seeking wellbeing support, you can always get in contact with the University’s Wellbeing Support Services. |
It’s been great to see so many of you enjoying the newly reopened Terrace Bar and Dirty Duck over the past week! We’ll be keeping these outlets open over the coming weeks, and will keep reviewing our offering to ensure it is in-line with Government guidance. Please do remember to do your bit to help keep our community safe by taking regular asymptomatic COVID tests – you can book them on-campus here, or can order home testing kits via this page. |
Good luck to those of you with exams and assessments over the coming week. I hope you all have an enjoyable week, and please be sure to stay safe whilst enjoying the eased restrictions. |
All the best,
Luke |
