| It’s Week 10! It’s been a very challenging year for everyone, but we’re now at the point where both Term 3 and lockdown restrictions are very nearly over. I hope you’re looking forward to the Summer vacation period as much as I am! |
| As we’re at the end of term, this is my last All Member Email for the year, and therefore my last as your SU President. This year has been far from what anyone could have expected, however, it has been inspirational seeing the amount of resilience, resolve, and commitment the student body have shown this year in overcoming the challenges the pandemic (and, indeed, the Government!) have thrown at us all. |
| It’s been great meeting so many of you out and about, on-campus, or online throughout the year, and I will truly miss representing you and fighting for the top-quality education Warwick students deserve. Thank you to all of those students and colleagues, both at the SU and the University, who have supported me to deliver on my manifesto and improve the student experience throughout the year. |
| Over the next month, we’ll be looking back at some of our biggest achievements of the year, and at those things the SU has helped to deliver for students. Whilst I’m incredibly proud of everything the Officer team have achieved this year, I’m equally excited to see what the incoming team will do during their time in office. The year ahead is going to be one of huge change for the SU, thanks to our recent Strategy publication and our upcoming transformation work, and so is a great time to get involved if you aren’t already! |
| Whilst this will be my last email, I’m still your President until the end of July, when Shingai Dzumbira will take the helm! If you need anything in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. |
| For those of you who have finished exams and assessments for the year – well done for making it through! Of course, many of you will still be studying or working over the next few months. I hope all this work goes well, and do be sure to try and get some rest at some point over the Summer. |
