About Us Events Help & Information Get Involved Talk to us
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately there have recently been a number of Hate Incidents targeting students in the Canley area, and we as a Students’ Union want to make sure that all students feel safe and supported during their time at university.
The SU’s Welfare and Campaigns Officer, Jemma Ansell, has put together two short videos explaining what a Hate Crime is and what students should expect when they report one, together with details of the various support services that are available to students.
Whether you live in Canley and have been affected by this or if you are the victim of a Hate Crime elsewhere in the local area, please take a few minutes to watch these videos on our Youtube channel (see link below) – in particular, we urge students to report any such incidents when they occur so that local authorities are able to allocate the appropriate resources and hopefully prevent them from happening to others. As always, if you need any additional advice, support or information at any time, please don’t hesitate to contact the SU’s Advice Centre.
