Unfortunately there have recently been a number of Hate Incidents targeting students in the Canley area, and we as a Students’ Union want to make sure that all students feel safe and supported during their time at university.

| The SU’s Welfare and Campaigns Officer, Jemma Ansell, has put together two short videos explaining what a Hate Crime is and what students should expect when they report one, together with details of the various support services that are available to students. |
| Whether you live in Canley and have been affected by this or if you are the victim of a Hate Crime elsewhere in the local area, please take a few minutes to watch these videos on our Youtube channel – in particular, we urge students to report any such incidents when they occur so that local authorities are able to allocate the appropriate resources and hopefully prevent them from happening to others.
