Happy New Year, chums!
The dawn of 2019 offers the opportunity to spout suitably vague platitudes about the things you’re intending to do over the next 12 months – however, if you do one thing and one thing alone as your New Year’s Resolution, make sure you get more involved in your Students’ Union!
Later this term, students will be electing members of their full-time and part-time Officer Team for the 2019-20 academic year. Spring Elections nominations open on 14th January, and this is your chance to really get stuck in and make a positive difference on campus – if you’ve ever thought you’d be good at my job or have ideas which you think could improve the lives of the student population here at Warwick, make sure you consider running as a candidate! Check out the link below for more information about the different positions that will be available.
For those of you who are determined to make amends for the festive feeding spree, we of course have a series of healthy treats available in our food outlets – January is Meat-Free Month in The Bread Oven, Curiositea, The Dirty Duck and Xananas, while Curiositea are serving up tasty, guilt-free mugfuls of joy as part of Resolutions Week. Meanwhile, we’re also launching a brand-new Cocktail night in The Terrace Bar for those who aren’t quite feeling the need for the traditional January penance just yet…
