The upcoming General Election is incredibly important for students - from tuition fees and visa restrictions to the NHS and Brexit, the decisions taken this time around will have a lasting impact on your life as a student and beyond. As major stakeholders in the future of local constituencies and the country as a whole, it’s therefore essential that the student voice gets heard loud and clear!
Today, Monday 22nd May, is your last chance to register to vote in this year’s General Election. The process only take a few minutes online, and you can register at BOTH your term-time and home addresses to ensure that your vote has the most impact in whichever constituency you choose to cast your ballot.
Decisions are made by those who show up. For too long now, students have been a demographic that it has been easy for politicians to ignore - and we have repeatedly born the brunt of their policies as a result. It’s time for us to step up and change that!
