Week 5 of term sees the return of our All Student Meeting, where the Warwick community has the chance to discuss various issues proposed by their fellow students. There are 7 motions which have been submitted this term, so make sure you come along to the SU Atrium from 5:30pm today to be part of the conversation. If you can’t make it, don’t forget to have your say when online voting opens at 9am on Tuesday - all successful motions will become official SU policy for us to campaign on.
The SU secured a great win for students last week when it was announced that Warwick will finally be getting a ‘Week 0’ at the start of Term 1 from 2018-19. This campaign has been long-fought by successive Sabbatical Officer teams at the SU, so we’re delighted to now be able to bring all future students a stand-alone Welcome Week free from academic commitments. If you’re inspired by these sorts of victories and think you have what it takes to help shape the future of your Students’ Union, don’t forget that nominations are currently open for the upcoming Officer Elections – see below for further details!
