This week sees your chance to step up and make a positive difference in the lives of your fellow students as nominations open for the 2017 Officer Elections. Elected student officers look after different areas of the SU and are responsible for representing the interests of the entire study body at Warwick both locally and nationally - there are 7 full-time Sabbatical Officer positions up for grabs, together with a range of part-time roles. If you have ideas about how student life can be improved, we want to hear from YOU. Head to the link below for further details, and don’t forget that anyone who’s interested in running is always welcome to come and chat with any of the existing Sabbs to find out more about each position!
In other news, our brand new Creative Warwick campaign launches this week, designed to showcase all the incredible things our clubs and societies get up to on a daily basis. On the NSS Boycott front, we were pleased to note that a Warwick SU report on the government’s Higher Education reforms was cited in the House of Lords during last week’s debate. Even unelected peers can see what a disaster these reforms are for students, universities and society as a whole - let’s keep up the pressure and see that the Bill gets defeated once and for all!

Officer Elections

Could YOU be the next SU President? Think you have ideas to enhance the areas of Education, Democracy & Development, Postgraduate representation, Societies, Sport or Welfare & Campaigns within the SU? If so, nominate for yourself for a position in the 2017 Officer Elections!

Creative Warwick

Check out SU Societies Officer MARISSA BEATTY’s blog post to find out why we’re teaming up with societies, the University and Warwick Arts Centre for our brand new Creative Warwick campaign.

NSS Boycott

The government’s HE proposals will be used to raise tuition fees still further. We’re urging Final-Year students to join the fightback by boycotting this year’s National Student Survey – it takes just one minute, but could make all the difference in the long-run!
