The Local Elections and Police & Crime Commissioner Elections take place this Thursday – don’t forget to vote if you’re eligible, as students represent a significant proportion of local constituencies and could have a real influence on the outcome. Closer to home, SU President ISAAC LEIGH has posted a blog containing background data relevant to the upcoming NUS affiliation vote, while Postgraduate Officer NAT PANDA has posted an update on the SU’s campaign to tackle food waste on campus. Click on the subject headings below to take a read!
The SU is closed on Monday 2nd May for the Bank Holiday, though The Terrace Bar and The Bread Oven will still be open if you’re feeling thirsty or peckish. If you’re planning to attend this year’s Sports Ball, don’t forget that tickets go on general sale at Noon on Tuesday, while tickets for the 2016 Societies Awards and Graduation Ball are also now available for purchase – see below for links.
