You won’t be able to miss the OFFICER ELECTIONS on campus this week, which mark the student body’s chance to vote for the people who’ll be in charge of your Students’ Union during the coming academic year.
If you’ve ever thought any aspect of University or SU life could be improved, you owe it to yourself to vote! Sabbatical and Part-Time Officers head up different areas of the SU’s operations and sit on key University committees. They have been responsible for some of the major wins we’ve achieved for students over the last few years, as well as spearheading campaigns for a 24-Hour Library, a stand-alone Freshers Week, microwaves on campus and much more.
There’ll be a chance to quiz the candidates in the SU Atrium from 5pm on Monday and Tuesday. Voting then opens online at 9am Wednesday, and closes at 9pm Friday. Don’t let decisions be made on your behalf – make sure you take a few minutes to read the candidates’ manifestos and vote for the people who you think will do the best job!
