It’s been another busy week at the SU as we prepared to submit our response to the government’s recent Green Paper on the future of Higher Education. We had numerous concerns about the proposals, particularly their implications for fairness of access, student representation and potential fee rises – see below to read our response in full. We were also deeply unimpressed by the decision made in private to abolish maintenance grants for students – our full statement can be read online at the SU website.
On a more positive note, a massive thanks to everyone who came along to our new event, PLAYLIST, on Saturday – it’s only with your continued support that we can make our nights-out a success! On which note, don’t forget to get your tickets for SKOOL DAYZ this weekend before they’re all gone…
