Don’t be alarmed if you see a bunch of large furry animals swarming over campus this week making lecture deliveries or dishing out ‘gnomings’ to anyone unfortunate enough to have been nominated - that’s all part and parcel of RAG Week here at the SU. It’s all done in the good name of charity, and you can sign up each day at the RAG stall in the SU to get involved – alternatively, see below for more details about how to opt out completely!

Elsewhere, we’re taking a coachload of students from Warwick and Coventry SU down to London on Wednesday as part of the National Demo on fees and funding. With the average student debt at £44,000 – often even higher for Postgraduates - 73% of us will be paying debt off for decades to come. But it doesn't have to be this way - Germany recently abolished tuition fees, and if we make our voices heard then hopefully we can try and change things too. Click through on the subject headings below for more info about any of this week’s news items!

Places are still available on the coach to the National Demo on fees and funding this Wednesday (19th November) for just £5 - visit the SU website to secure your seat and make your voice heard.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the All Student Meeting last week – the polling results are now available to view online.

The RAG Team appreciate that their various antics this week aren’t for everyone – click through for more information on how to opt out completely if you’d rather not take part!

Perfect for all students regardless of experience or ability, the Discover Disabled Sport Festival is due to return this weekend - keep checking back to the Warwick Sport website for more info coming soon!

Get yourself checked for sexually-transmitted infections this Tuesday in the SU – it’s free, confidential and there’s no need to make an appointment.

Don’t forget that the submission deadline for sending us snaps of your local area or your student ‘Housing Horrors’ is this Tuesday. All entries will be used to help students make the right choice when selecting off-campus accommodation next year, and there are SU food vouchers up for grabs for the best ones!

6 members of Latin and Ballroom take to the floor for RAG Week with 6 sports club “celebrities” to compete for club glory and a glittering trophy – tickets are available now via the SU website!

Talks, start-up events, the launch of Warwick Enterprise Pathway and more – find out about everything that’s taking place over the coming days as Global Entrepreneurship Week hits campus.

Students at Warwick have started a campaign to “twin” all the SU’s toilets by sponsoring the building of 94 toilets in communities where poor sanitation is a major issue. Click through to find out more about their launch events this week!

Taking place over the coming weekend, this year’s theme is ‘Development Through the Lens of Diversity’ – visit their SU webpage for more info and to buy tickets.

Sign-ups are now live for anyone who wants to help feed into the direction the SU will be taking over the coming years.

Massive thanks to all our Sports Teams who competed last Wednesday – the match results are now available to view online, together with a list of this week’s fixtures!

Keep sending us your thoughts on the local bus services so that we can lobby for improvements where necessary – the more responses we get, the better our chances are of achieving change!

This week’s baguette special is Chicken Fajita: chicken in a fiery fajita sauce with peppers and red onion, topped with sour cream and grated cheddar for £3.45. Alternatively, there’s Vegetable Fajita (£3.20): roasted strips of pepper, onion and courgette in a fiery fajita sauce, also topped with sour cream and grated cheddar!
