Thanks to everyone who contributed to our recent Taxi Campaign - in response to overwhelming demand, we’ve now started a new transport campaign addressing the perennial issue of problems with the buses to and from campus. We’ve already had over 1000 responses in the first week alone – please do take a few minutes to fill out the survey if you’ve ever experienced problems with any of these services. The more feedback we get, the better our chances are of being able to push for change!

If you’re a postgraduate who teaches, the University are also running a series of workshops this month to provide support, development and assistance - for full details, please see below.

You asked, we answered. Send us your thoughts on the local bus services so that we can lobby for improvements where necessary!

The Learning and Development Centre now offer training to help you develop your teaching practice. Teaching could include lecturing, demonstrating, facilitating seminars, tutorials or problem solving classes – visit the University webpage linked above for further details.

We’re looking for your photos of ‘Housing Horrors’ or your local area so that we can help students make the right choices at Housing Day later in the term – click through for more info and a chance to win SU outlet vouchers.

The University is funding a study exploring how to improve student support services for emotional and mental wellbeing. The information you give will be extremely valuable in helping to improve what’s available in this area – visit the SU website to take part.

Students from all over the country are coming together on #nov19 to demand Free Education. With the average student debt at £44,000 a massive 73% of us will be paying off our debt into our 50s. But it doesn't have to be this way - Germany recently abolished tuition fees, and if we make our voices heard we can change things too. This is your chance to step up to the plate and make things happen! #freeeducation

We had a great response from students when asked for their experiences of taxi malpractice in the local area – here’s what we’ve been up to with your feedback, as well as details of our new Taxi Complaints Form.

There’s another chance to hand-craft your own jewellery items this Monday at Curiositea – click through for further details.

The University are hosting an anti-bullying and harassment day this Friday – visit the info desks in any of the locations listed for more information.

This week’s special is Hawaiian Chicken for £3.45: chicken, bacon and pineapple with BBQ sauce and melted cheddar cheese. Alternatively, try our Tuna Italia: tuna with pesto mayonnaise, tomato and melted mozzarella for £3.20!
