A very warm welcome to all new postgraduates joining us this year, and a welcome back to term-time if you’re continuing your studies! This is the first of our weekly email updates outlining what’s going on at Warwick Students’ Union throughout the coming term.

Warwick SU is one of the biggest and best Students’ Unions anywhere in the country. Headed up a team of 7 elected Sabbatical Officers, we are run by students, for students – and are here to help you get the most out of your time here. We are a not-for-profit, charitable membership organisation which reinvests all the money made in our bars/food outlets (The Bread Oven, Curiositea, The Dirty Duck, The Terrace Bar, Xananas) and nightclub (The Copper Rooms) into services for students – whether that’s academic representation, welfare & personal support, clubs & societies, student campaigning, student facilities or anything else we offer.

Your Postgraduate Officer is Andrew Thompson and this year we have introduced a brand new PG-only social space, The Graduate, in our main building – just head up the stairs towards The Dirty Duck between SUHQ and the main SU building on central campus to visit us for a relaxing break!

You can find this year’s Postgraduate Guide to the SU online HERE. If you have any questions, please ask by emailing enquiries@warwicksu.com, logging onto our Facebook page facebook.com/warwicksu, tagging us on Twitter @warwicksu or speaking to either Andrew or one of the Freshers Helpers in the purple T-shirts – likewise, if you’re feeling overwhelmed for any reason, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our free and confidential Student Advice Centre.

There’s loads going on during the first 7 days of Term 1 – below is just a fraction of what’s on offer, so make sure you keep checking the SU website warwicksu.com for all the latest updates. We look forward to meeting you this year!

Visit the University’s PG web calendar above to find out more about the various introductory events taking place this week for postgrads.

We have a great programme of events which are open to all students, new or returning – tickets are selling fast for many of the coming fortnight’s evening events, so make sure you get yours as soon as possible if you’re planning on attending!
