Greetings to you, good person of Warwick! It’s set to be another busy week here on campus and at the SU – rather inevitably, this Saturday’s Skool Dayz has already sold out, so make sure you visit our Terms and Conditions for information regarding re-sales via the waiting list. In the meantime, here’s a flavour of the latest news…

Animal Ethics Society are hosting a week of events promoting animal welfare, animal rights, vegetarianism and veganism – head to their Facebook page above for details of the latest talks, stalls and screenings!

The Windows 8 Tour will be down in the Atrium from Monday to Friday every day this week from 10am-5pm - demo the latest operating system by taking a short tutorial and be in with a chance to win various prizes.

The UK government has made a number of proposals in their new Immigration Bill which would impact international students studying or intending to study in the UK. Please click through if you're an international student and would like to submit your thoughts - Amazon vouchers are available in a prize draw!

Whatever the issue, if you’re interested in campaigning here at Warwick, make sure you don’t miss the second Campaigns Convention of this academic year – taking place this Thursday at 5pm in Meeting Rooms 4/5 of SUHQ.

Warwick Active are hosting a special UV Rollerdisco event in the Main Hall this Thursday at 5.30pm, with a later session at 7pm. Tickets are available to everyone, cost £10 per person and can be booked here.

Can’t get enough of those pesky Hobbits? Warwick Student Cinema will be showing all three Lord of the Rings films back-to-back in L3 this Friday. Make sure you have a ticket, otherwise YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

Spaces are still available for the student focus group this Friday from 12:30-1:30pm in PG Hub 1. If you’re interested in attending, please email your name to Daniel.Crayford@warwick.ac.uk before Noon on Tuesday 14th January - £5 bookshop tokens are available.

This week’s special is Bacon and Stilton Melt with Red Pepper and Tomato Chutney for £3.45. For a vegetarian-friendly option, you can swap the bacon for Vegetarian Sausages!

We still have a raft of great offers on main courses and desserts available throughout the week during January. Pop up to The Duck when you’re feeling peckish to find out what’s available!

Warwick Active's Intramural Leagues are the perfect way to get some friends together, keep active, stay social and have fun. Designed for any level of ability and competiveness, make sure you get involved by either joining your Hall, Society or Department Teams or just grabbing a few of your mates for a bit of fun on the pitch, court or field!

There’s only a few days left to sign up for Warwick Sport’s Active Courses this term - choose from Badminton, Bootcamp, Climbing, Squash & Racketball, Swimming, Tennis, Weight Loss or Watt Bike. From beginners to experts, they cater for all abilities - to find out more, click here.
