Prepare for a particularly peculiar brand of eccentricity to descend upon campus this week as RAG WEEK returns to the SU! Brace yourself for the sight of 6ft furry animals wandering around delivering surprises to all and sundry - if you want to send something special to a friend, loved one or lecturer, make sure you sign up at the Rag stall in the Atrium. Alternatively, you can arrange to have your nemesis 'gnomed', which involves them being cling-filmed to a tree and pelted with eggs, flour and water - perfect for that lazy flatmate who hasn't been doing their share of the washing-up!

Elsewhere, be sure to vote in the All Student Meeting this week if you want to have your say on the issues submitted by students, for students! Here's a taste of what's going on over the next 7 days…

Tonight is the first All Student Meeting of the year, starting at 5.30pm in the Atrium. All students are welcome to join the debate and can vote online on the issues being discussed throughout the week. You can view the agenda and join the online debate at warwicksu.com/asm - voting opens at midday tomorrow and closes midday Friday. Make sure you are part of Democracy at your Union - don't let decisions be made on your behalf!

Student Minds is a charity which aims to spread awareness of and aid students suffering or recovering from eating disorders. Warwick's talk group is held on Mondays from 3:30pm in Meeting Room 6 of SUHQ. These groups are run by 2 facilitators who are there to guide the conversations - the talk groups are not seen as an alternative to formal treatment, but as a place for students suffering or recovering from eating disorders to discuss troubles in a safe and confidential environment.

The upcoming Go Global Fair (taking place this Wednesday in the SU Atrium between 12:30pm-3pm), offers valuable opportunities for any students wanting to have an international experience here on campus or overseas - be it by studying abroad, working as a language assistant, undertaking an international volunteering opportunity or joining a student society with a global reach. You'll be able to speak to fellow students about their experiences in over 15 countries - the International Office, Careers&Skills, the Language Centre, Monash-Warwick Alliance and Warwick in Africa will also be present, demonstrating how the University can support students in their mission to 'Go Global'!

Come along and get yourself checked out for STIs at our free and confidential GUM Clinic on Tuesday from 11:30am. The process is non-invasive and there's no need to make an appointment - just turn up to MR 4/5 of SUHQ and you'll be seen as soon as possible. (n.b. You must be registered for an appointment by 5pm, so don't leave it too late if you definitely want to be seen!)

Can you go all night…? WSC's termly film marathon returns to L3 this Friday night to test your movie-watching stamina once again (apologies for the wrong date appearing on the wallplanner - our bad!) They have a cracking line-up of titles for this term's event, plus the MYSTERY FILM to be revealed on the night!

The NHS will begin running their IAPT stress, anxiety and low-mood management sessions again from 11am-1pm in MR6, starting this Friday. The sessions will take place once a week for 4 weeks.

This year sees The Kayodeles travelling through time and visiting pivotal points in black history - hosted by A Dot Comedian and featuring guest performances from Mista Silva, Moelogo and Chozen the Poet plus many more, it promises to be an unforgettable experience! Tickets include the show, complimentary pizza and the after-party, and can be purchased via the SU website.

Head up to Xananas this week to sample an array of light and delicious seafood dishes, all fresh from our waters. Make sure you check out the specials board each day or visit warwicksu.com/xananas to see what our chefs are cooking up!

This week's special is Steak Melt for £3.45 - strips of Peppered Steak with Red Onion Chutney, toasted with melted Cheddar Cheese. Alternatively, our Meat-Free Monday option will be Great British Mature Cheddar Ploughman's for £3.20!

The new Book Sale function is now available on the SU website, allowing you to buy or sell new and used textbooks all year round - visit warwicksu.com/books to get started!

In collaboration with Careers&Skills, the University are running a workshop entitled 'Train, Teach, Inspire: an information evening about teaching as a career' in Week 8. It promises to provide a useful insight into different paths into teaching (both at Warwick and elsewhere) - the event takes place on 19th November and you'll need to register in advance through myAdvantage.

Sign-up for the the Iquiz on 19th November has now begun - come and join us in this battle of the brains for your team's chance to win a fantastic 14-day tour around Europe with Topdeck Travel!
