Well! A massive welcome to each and every one of you for what will hopefully turn out to be the best few years of your lives. With any luck you've already begun settling in and started making new friends - if you're ever unsure about anything during these first two weeks, just ask one of the many Freshers Helpers who will be scattered over campus!
First things first: we are here for YOU. The SU is a not-for-profit organisation run by students, for students - all the money we take in our nightclubs, bars and food outlets (The Copper Rooms, Xananas, The Dirty Duck, The Terrace Bar, Curiositea and The Bread Oven) is directly reinvested back into services which benefit you, our members: Advice & Welfare facilities, Entertainments, Clubs & Societies, Academic Representation and much, much more. Please do come and see any of our elected student representatives in the Sabbatical Team if you're ever feeling stressed and they will do their best to help you out!

Many of our evening events are selling fast and some have already sold out, so make sure you don't leave it too late to get tickets! Head to warwicksu.com/events to find out what's on and to buy your tickets - they're uploaded straight onto your student card and we just swipe that at the door.

Come along to the Sports Centre on Tuesday between 10:30am and 5:30pm to check out our many Sports Clubs here at Warwick - there'll be chances to chat to current members, watch demonstrations and get a taste of what's on offer throughout the day. Whatever your interests, societies will hopefully form a massive part of your time here at Uni. We have over 270 on offer, and you can check them all out at the Societies Fair! On Wednesday you'll find societies related to performance, music, media and food & drink, as well as religious & cultural societies. On Thursday we'll be showcasing how and why you should get involved with Union Democracy during your time at Warwick. You can get involved at all sorts of levels -from simply voting to running for elected positions - and can get a great CV-boost from taking part! We'll also be able to tell you more about campaigning on the issues you're passionate about - head to the website for more info.

Warwick Volunteers provides volunteering opportunities for students and staff at the university, providing a fun way of developing skills and boosting work experience. From working in schools and environmental activities to one-off mural painting events, there's a wide range of projects to get involved with - come along to the Panorama Rooms in the Rootes Social Building on Friday from 10am-3:30pm to find out more!

Warwick Dodge hold fun sessions every Friday in the Main Hall at the Sports Centre, from 5-6pm. It is a great way to try something new, meet new friends and make great memories - everyone is welcome!
