Through Warwick RAG, eight members of Giving What We Can: Warwick are running a campaign called ‘The Big Match’ in which they’re putting up £4000 of their own money to match donations to the Against Malaria Foundation. If the full amount is matched this will mean protecting 6000 people from malaria!
This video sums the idea up.

From Thursday - Saturday we see the return of the annual Real Ale and Cider Festival to campus. This event is a great chance to experience the best the British culture and heritage has to offer, all in the comfort of the Copper Rooms in the Students' Union.
Come along and sample a few of the 120 beers from every corner of the UK, ranging from strong dark and potent beers to lighter, more continental types of brew. If you're a cider fan, we have some great drinks from the best producers in the UK, and we see the return of the infamous mead and fruit wines. You'll also be able to soak up all of that lovely beer with an equally lovely, traditional pie!
The event is open from 6pm 'til late on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, costs £3.50 for entry but arrive early as it is a popular event and will fill up quickly. Entertainment will be provided in the form of the unmissable Dr. Busker and The Big Band. Check out warwickale.co.uk for more details and we hope to see you for a pint or several!

Calling all students! Here at Grant Thornton we like to think that we're a great firm with the best graduate recruitment opportunities. To live up to this we wanted to give you all something to kick start 2013.
Which of the following prizes would you most like to win?
- £1,000 travel vouchers for that summer trip you've been planning
- £1,000 vouchers for those suits you need for graduate interviews
- £1,000 vouchers for the technology you just can't live without
The average student racks up almost £9,000 per year in student debts, which means that you spend ages paying off your overdraft and don't spend your money on the things you really want. So, to help you out we're giving three of you the chance to win big. We're giving away these three prizes to three lucky university students.
It couldn't be easier to enter... All you have to do is like our status on Facebook and follow the link to register for the prize you'd like to win to be in with a chance of winning that prize. We'll be announcing a short list and the eventual winners on our Facebook page so make sure you like GrantThorntonRecruitmentUK to find out who the winners will be.
Good luck!
