With the first All Student Meeting only two weeks away (Monday Week 4), the deadline to submit a petition is drawing nearer. But it’s not too late – if you want to have your voice heard and create change within the Students’ Union, then you have until Monday to draft a motion and get 100 people to approve it. For more information about how to do this, contact democracy@warwicksu.com. Similarly, all 5 items on the Union Boycott List are looking likely to be reviewed in this same meeting. So if you feel passionately about any of the companies on the list then this is your chance to have your voice heard and vote on it. For each item, we will need someone in favour of renewing it, and someone in favour of scrapping it. If you are interested in supporting the for or against case for any of the bans, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us and we can let you know how you can go about doing so.

Holocaust Remembrance week aims to promote greater awareness about the World War II era while engaging students to explore the enduring impact of the Holocaust and apply its lessons to contemporary issues of prejudice and moral decision making. This series of events will feature perspectives about the Holocaust based on eyewitness accounts, scholarly research and contemporary exhibitions in an attempt to spark critical thinking about the issues at hand. For more details about the events, check out the Facebook page.

Wednesday Week 2, 5.30pm, SUHQ - All members of campaigning, charity and action societies (plus anyone else who is interested in creating ethical change in the community around us are) invited to attend one of four exciting workshops looking at how we can get the best out of campaigning and how we can campaign creatively and effectively. Please plug this to your members if you help to run a society – it's not just for execs!

There will also be plenty of opportunities to meet other campaigners, network, socialise and share best practices – plus, there will be free food! In addition, there'll be a chance to stand as a representative from the Campaigns Convention to the next Student Council. Check out the event on Facebook, and sign up for workshops.

Tell us what you think about a new mobile phone app for the chance to win £100

Dear student,

Brainbox Research is working on behalf of Solihull Council and the West Midlands Road Safety Partnership to find out what you think about alcohol, driving and a new mobile phone app.

If you are aged 18-24 and have a full driving licence we’d really appreciate your help with our research.

If you follow the link below you’ll be directed to a webpage where you are asked a few brief questions about yourself and can find information about the new mobile app. The app has been developed to help you calculate when your body should be free of alcohol after drinking alcoholic drinks. We’d like you to download the app and try it out.

We will then contact you again in a few weeks’ time to find out what you think about the app. It’ll take just a few minutes of your time to complete a very short online survey to tell us your thoughts.

Upon completion of the survey you will be entered into a prize draw to win £100.

Please follow the link below to take part: http://eu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4SMnRKtmxIuFKJf

If you have any questions about the research, please contact the Brainbox Research team on 0113 238 0157 or at lauren.caveney@brainboxresearch.com

Many thanks for your help with this research

All the best,

Lauren Caveney
