Moving in Guide

Since it's nearly time for term to start again, most of you have probably moved in to your off-campus residences or will be doing so very soon. To help you out with this process, Izzy, our welfare officer, has produced this very simple moving-in guide. There's a checklist of essential things to do once you've unpacked as well as some useful websites relevant to your off-campus life!

We don't forget about our off-campus students: keep an eye out for your emails from the SU – particularly for 'Beyond the Bubble' bulletins. These will happen about every three weeks during term time and will give you information on what's going on in your off-campus community. All that information will also be put on the facebook pages – so 'like' them in order to stay up to date.

For now, if you live in Leamington, be aware of the sewerage renewal works that are going on and how they might affect you.

The second hand book sale is the perfect way to either sell your old, unwanted textbooks and make some cash, or pick up a bargain for the year ahead!

Full details of the sale and the process are available at warwicksu.com/booksale.

Selling Books?

We will be collecting and registering all books for sale on Saturday 8th October in Copper Rooms 2 (the upstairs bit!) So what will you need to bring? Most importantly, the books you wish to sell, but you will also need to bring your student card and two completed copies of the sellers form which will be available at www.warwicksu.com/booksale from the 1st October. If you don't complete these forms in advance you will be able to complete them on the day, but it will take longer! Books to be sold must be linked to a module currently taught at the University – it may be helpful to pencil the name of the module on the inside of each book you are selling.

Your books will then be sold on the Sunday, and from Monday 10th October afternoon you will be able to collect any unsold books and the money you have made from selling the books!

Please note, for storage reasons we can't accept any books for sale before this date.

Buying Books?

Simply come along to the upstairs Copper Rooms, via the Atrium entrance, from 11am on the Sunday 10th October. The sale will be open until 6pm, and you will be able to pay by cash or card.

Books will be arranged by subject, module and in price order, so it'll be really easy to come along and pick up a bargain! Remember, the prices of books are set by the students selling them, so to pick up the best bargains make sure you get there early!

We'll be selling any remaining unsold books on the morning (9am-noon) of Monday 10th October, so if you can't make the Sunday sale then pop in and see what is left!

See you all at the start of term if not before!
