Hello all! Whether or not you have reading week this week, there’s always time to get stuck into the huge amount of events we have going on here at the SU. Firstly, unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere you’ll probably be aware that the Officer Elections 2012 are inching ever closer – most excitingly, nominations have now opened! If you want to make a difference in your union and to the lives of students please consider running for either a full-time or part-time position.
Secondly, regardless of whether or not you’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day, you can banish thoughts of the chilly weather with some loved-up treats in Curiositea (I personally can’t wait for the mini hot chocolate fondue). Xananas have also created a menu especially for Valentine’s and are now taking bookings.
However if you’d prefer to drown your sorrows then you’re in luck – The 33rd Real Ale Festival is happening this week and it’s going to be better than ever – don’t miss it. If you’re planning on going please take the time to learn about responsible drinking – you could save a life!
In other news, the National Student Survey (for undergraduate finalists only) and the Big 5 survey (all Warwick Students) are still open – please take a bit of time to fill them out, the feedback we get is incredibly useful for improving our services (plus you could win some wicked prizes). If you’re curious about how our services are run, you can look at our recently completed financial accounts available here.
That’s all for now folks – have an excellent week 6 and as always don’t forget you can email us or drop by our offices with any feedback or concerns.
Izzy, Chris S, Sean, George, Leo, Chris L and Matt
