Nominations close tomorrow at 6pm in this year’s Autumn Elections.

Nominate yourself now to become a Union Councillor.

Why should I nominate myself?

Develop transferable, highly employable skills – communication, debating, getting your point across, negotiating etc

The chance to raise issues that have bothered you during your time at Warwick – things you want to improve in the Union? Stuff you want to change on campus? Being a Union Councillor can make a difference.

How much work does it involve?

As much or as little as you want to give. There are only 7 meetings in the whole year so only 15 hours of your time!

Is the election process difficult?

Not at all. You’re not allowed to spend any money on the campaign so that means no posters, flyers or anything like that. You’ll be relying on facebook and word of mouth to get your name out there and there’s no quorum (minimum number of votes) to achieve.

“But I’m not interested in politics”

Ever moaned about your course? Complained about the buses? Found that study spaces aren’t up to scratch? Had an idea of how to improve the Students’ Union? Then that’s politics. These are the issues that matter to Warwick students. Get involved and help us change them.
