Come see Wildwood presented with stunning 4K laser projection on the big screen in L3!

Laika returns after a 7 year hiatus to deliver us a new marvel for us. Wildwood follows Prue, a young girl who pursues her abducted brother into a magical forest. With her friend Curtis, she comes to face magical creatures, rebellion and formidable adversaries. Adapted from Colin Meloy's 2011 novel of the same name, this looks to follow in the studio's footsteps of exploring huge fantasy worlds through signature handcrafted animation. As of yet, all we have to work off of are the trailers, however with every look that the studio has given us so far, this looks like it could be the best film that Laika has given us to date.

Everything about it looks absolutely stunning, through sweeping battles and fantastical magic, all presented in breathtaking stop motion that the studio is known for. Travis Knight (Masters of the Universe, Kubo and the Two Strings) directs here, bringing the heart and soul that he provides all his films, and the care and loving touch that makes every stop motion film by this studio feel so transporting and special. Featuring a star studded cast and landing at a staggering 2 hours 12 minutes, this film promises to be a true epic of the animated medium. [Tom Blakey]
