Come see A Complete Unknown presented with stunning 4K Laser Projection on the big screen in L3!

The Timothée Chalamet Bob Dylan biopic is a film I have known about in an abstract sense since it was first announced, but never really considered that someday it would actually be released, much like Gladiator II, or The Apprentice (both of which are also on this term’s schedule). But no, the Timothée Chalamet Bob Dylan biopic is now a real film, and if early reviews are to be believed, it may well be even better than I had hoped. If his performance in Dune: Part Two doesn’t put Chalamet into the Oscar conversation this year, A Complete Unknown may well do. 

But enough about all that, and onto the film itself. A Complete Unknown charts the start of Dylan’s career from his arrival in New York in the 1960s and follows his decision to switch to using electric guitars, a controversial decision at the time. Director James Mangold is no stranger to the music biopic, having previously directed the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line in 2005 (Cash also makes an appearance in this film). Chalamet is joined by an all-star cast including Edward Norton and Elle Fanning, among others. This is definitely not a film to be missed, and if nothing else, come for the fact that Chalamet is also singing Bob Dylan’s songs himself in this movie. I, for one, cannot wait. [Cerys Bardsley]
