Who am I?

Hi, I’m Lucy, a 21-year-old Sociology student

Started the shame on you Warwick petition

Feminist and socialist activist for 5 years

Student representative and advocate for diversifying and decolonising curriculum

Regional delegate for momentum and labour campaigner

First generation to go to university in my family and queer!

What do I want to do?

Accountability for group chat

Hold the university to account over shame on you Warwick, push for an apology from the vc to victims and overhaul the disciplinary process

Combat sexual harassment and support victims

Push to fund a full-time sexual assault liaison officer and commit to securing extra funding for counselling services and reducing waiting times

More training for staff and no tolerance for sexual harassment in SU owned outlets on campus alongside mandatory consent classes for all Warwick students and free self-defence training

Highlight women’s history and combat our marginalisation

Tackle the effects of misogyny on campus! A woman’s mini bus after nights out! Women in stem series! Working with male dominated industries to offer internships for women and non-binary students

Work alongside anti sexism, pride, sexpression, and anti-racism society to create more sage spaces and events on campus, as well as highlight women’s histories and issues. E.g more hidden histories dedicated to women- feminist film screening, book club and women take over t bar!

Be politically active against wider U.K policy that harms students

Listen to women of colour and push for access and engagement of WOC on campus and listen to nus suggestions for WOC in academia. also continue to push for decolonising curriculum

Oppose prevent, the marketisation of education and university fees. eradicate Warwick’s casualisation record and poor treatment of post grad teachers. advocate for decrim of sex work and support student sex workers. make sure that Warwick listens to student mothers and is a more accessible space for parents on campus
