Students, both postgrad and undergrad, continue to face barriers towards getting involved in sport. For some these may be the financial implications, the marginalisation of underrepresented groups, the overtly competitive nature that the word ‘sport’ seems to imply, or the perception that sport is only for the athletic. This campaign represents a collaboration with the University, Warwick SU and liberation groups, Warwick Sport and active leagues, and local sports communities in Coventry and Leamington to change the perception of sport, and to encourage our students to reshape sport to suit their needs.

Rock Up & Play

Free for 1st year UGs and PGs, and does exactly what it says on the tin - just rock up and play! From floorball to rugby to ultimate frisbee...

Yoga For Boys

A yoga class just for guys. Focus on developing strength, flexibility and balance.

Wheelchair Tennis

Organised by the Tennis Centre on campus, there are classes to suit everyone, including wheelchair tennis classes.

Ladies Boxing

A ladies only workout using pads, punch-bags and circuits. Get a full body workout and learn boxing techniques.

Activity Zone

Brand new for 2017/18! Includes a half basketball court, 2 trampolines, swings, yoga area, 20m sprint, energy bikes and more!

SU Woodland Walk

Join the SU Woodland Walk every Thursday at 1pm, from SUHQ Reception!

Sports Volunteering

Activators are a workforce of special volunteers who encourage everyone to get active every day! As an activator you support casual, inclusive and beginner friendly sports and activity sessions on campus.

Self-Defence Course

Female-only Swimming

Warwick Sport offers female-only swimming lessons (beginner and improver) as well as female-only pool sessions.

Warwick Girls Can

The Warwick Girls Can campaign aims to help women overcome the fear of judgement that prevents many women and girls from getting active, as well as the cultural assumptions about femininity that prevent women from engaging in sport and exercise.

Buddy Scheme

Provides an opportunity for students and staff to connect with a group or buddy and get active together. Fill out the interest form and you'll be connected with someone who has similar interests!

Female-Only Self-Defence Classes

Want to have the confidence to protect yourself in a vulnerable situation? Open to people of all abilities.
