The Sport

Ultimate frisbee is a fast paced team sport focussing on speed, stamina and strategy. It involves 2 teams with 7 players for outdoors and 5 for indoors. The objective is to catch the disc in the opponents end zone with any blocks, drops or interceptions resulting in a turnover, putting you on the defensive. The game is not just dependent on athleticism, but also the tactics and formations used during a match. Inbetween points or after a time-out is called, the team can discuss the plays and come up with counters to the opponent.

The Club

Warwick Bears Ultimate Frisbee Club has teams consistently performing at the top end of the Open (mens), Womens and Mixed divisions. Founded in 1976, it is the longest surviving team in Europe, and among the oldest in the world. 

We're a friendly club famous for our packed social calendar, featuring weekly events for all organised by our hard-working social sec. Activities range from "circling" in the SU to club meals, disc golf, pub crawls and much more. Add to that a host of weekend tournaments across the country and you have the recipe for non-stop fun!

Every year, we also go on holiday to Bournemouth at the end of term 3, and in September we go on tour to Italy to play at an international beach tournament on the lush beaches of Tuscany.
