Warwick SU
Warwick Marrow is a student run branch of Anthony Nolan. There are Marrow groups at almost every university across the country that aid Anthony Nolan in finding life savers.
Throughout the year we run donor recruitment events to sign people to the stem cell donor register. People with Leukaemia and other blood cancers often need a stem cell transplant as a last attempt at saving their life. However, 70% of people need an unrelated donor so it is very difficult to find a match. One person may only have one match in the whole world! To increase chances of finding a match, we need more people on the register, so our job is to help sign up as many people as possible to the stem cell register to help save lives.
Volunteer with us at events and help us do this. Training to be a volunteer is super easy and mainly done at events!
We also hold fundraising events which can be great fun, but are essential, as it costs £40 to sign up one person to the register.
After a rewarding day of volunteering and fundraising, there will always be a social. Marrow is a great way to make friends whilst making a real difference.
Current students should purchase the Warwick Marrow Society Standard Membership below.
