What We Do
Our aim as a society is to make the complex world of investing and trading accessible to everyone at Warwick.
We run a series of virtual investing competitions with cash prizes as well as hosting industry leading speakers from firms like UBS and St. James Place Wealth Management. This year we also organised an interactive trading simulation to give our members a better insight into trading.
What's more, we publish a monthly investing magazine, Exchange, where our members contribute articles to offer their views on pretty much anything, from investing strategies to economic affairs!
The society is open to everyone, whether you're an experienced investor or simply someone looking to learn a little more about investing, add to your CV and develop your commercial awareness.

The Warwick Investor League
So what is the Investor League? Simply put, the League is a competition of investors and traders at Warwick, taking place on our new and exciting platform. Every term our members compete to make the highest returns on their portfolio and over the years we have had some brilliant results. On our platform, you can trade stocks, bonds, FX and commodities giving you the opportunity to test innovative strategies, experience trading first-hand and win cash prizes!
The Leagues are term long investment competitions exclusive to WTS, and winning it is an excellent achievement for your CV's, as well as a chance to win prizes.
How it all works...
Our virtual trading league platform is now provided by Exante, our new sponsor. Exante, a Maltese next generation investment company, provides direct market access and other financial services to investors from all over the world. Its in-house developed trading platform, which we will be using for our league, provides access to over 50 global markets! We will be posting instructions for the Term 1 League soon. Stay Tuned!

Regular Meetings & Speakers
This year we had the privilege of hosting speakers from UBS and St. James Place Wealth Management. They gave our members an insight into the world of trading and investment management by providing market intelligence, strategies, and careers information. Next year we aim to host even more speakers while making each event more interactive. We invite all our members to come and listen to some amazing speakers!
Exchange
Our entirely student-run magazine is unique on campus for being the only publication that focuses sharply on trading and investment management. This year our members contributed articles on topics ranging from to. Exchange fosters a community of innovation and sharing that develops our member’s skills and lets them showcase their investment strategies and knowledge.

Interactive Trading Simulation and Workshops
This year we hosted our first interactive trading simulation, our members experienced open-outcry trading and learned the tricks of the trade. This experience will prove invaluable at your assessment centres and interviews while also developing your skills for future employment. Moreover, our aim is to introduce more interactive workshops and CV clinics to prepare our members for the world of trading and investment management.
