Theatre companies who are alumni of Codpiece:

Curious Directive - A regular in Lyn Gardner's theatre column in The Guardian, Curious Directive began in Codpiece. Their first show, Return to the Silence, a Codpiece studio show, went on to clean up at NSDF, and has since played all across the UK. Their most recent work, Your Last Breath, won a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

FellSwoop Theatre - 2011 saw FellSwoop win the NSDF Emerging Artist's theatre award for their adaptation of Belleville Rendezvous, which was a studio show back in 2010. It went on to play at the Bedlam Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe, the RSC's Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and the Pleasance in Islington. Their other work includes a devised adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull called Most Drink in Secret, which played in Bristol and Portsmouth, as well as various cinema soirees and parlour parties in London and Leamington. FellSwoop continue to present innovative work for touring around the UK.

Dumbshow Theatre - Dumbshow's Clockheart Boy has been a regular fixture at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the past few years, and has received a lot of critical love. The show began as a Codpiece studio show, and was accompanied in Edinburgh by two shows, Oedipus and Roar. Dumbshow are also the source of Codpiece's infamous 'swimming cap commune' image.

Fat Git Theatre - Fat Git Theatre was born in 2012. Their devised show The Nose, an adaptation of Gogol's short story, toured up the whole of England all the way to Edinburgh, where they were met with widespread acclaim. The Nose was awarded funding by Codpiece through Codpiece Submissions, where groups pitched ideas for shows to the society. Fat Git also took Specie, their most recent devised show, to Edinburgh in 2013. Fat Git's other work includes new writing, and lots of paint.

SplitLip - SplitLip Theatre have been taking London by storm with their hit show 'Operation Mincemeat' after first performing as a small show in 2019. As ex-Codpiece Exec members, SplitLip have won a host of awards, with their most recent win being the WhatsOnStage Awards for Best New Musical, Best Performer in a Musical, Best Supporting Performer in a Musical and Best Graphic Design. Credited as “an extraordinarily talented quartet... SpitLip could go stratospheric."
