International Representation Fund

What is the International Representation Fund?

The International Rep Fund is in place to financially support students who are representing their nation in an international event/competition. You can use the money to help towards transport, accommodation, entry fees and any other costs that are associated with the event.

What is the International Rep Fund not for?

The International Rep Fund cannot be used to purchase equipment that will personally benefit the athlete outside of the competition or event. The fund also doesn’t support costs associated with trials or selection days. You can apply for up to £500 per academic year. This can be split across a number of events but cannot exceed this amount.

How do I make an International Rep Fund Bid?

International Rep Fund applications can be found HERE.

Funding bids are reviewed at the end of each term but can be submitted at any point. You are able to apply for either an upcoming event/competition or an event/competition which has passed. When completing your application please provide as much information as possible including any supporting documents you may have e.g. a confirmation letter of your place in that event. If you fail to provide supporting evidence this may affect the success of application. Please send your applications to clubadmin@warwicksu.com – you will receive feedback once the term comes to an end.

Who do I speak to for advice?

Please contact clubadmin@warwicksu.com for any application queries. If you are a Sport Scholarship Athlete, please seek advice from performancesport@warwick.ac.uk.

Society Emergency Support Fund

Please see below the application for the Society Emergency Support Fund. If you'd like a meeting to discuss your society finances then please get in contact with the student activities team from the SU who are more than willing to discuss ways to make your society more financially sustainable. Please bear in mind that this fund is for:

  • Societies who are in financial difficulty (with a valid explanation as to why).
  • Societies who will be unable to continue into the next academic year without financial support.
  • Societies who have faced unexpected and unavoidable costs since budgeting in Term 3.
  • Societies who cannot afford to adjust activity to make their activity accessible.

Please note: there is limited funding available and the team must be fair and justify their decisions when allocating funds. We may ask you for more information or evidence during the course of discussions. This fund is not designed to expand existing society activities - it is to facilitate standard activity that would otherwise be unable to occur, on a one-off payment basis. The application form will close at midday on Monday 13th February (Week 6). All applications will be reviewed by the Student Activities Team at the SU and decisions will be communicated out to societies no later than Wednesday 22nd February (Week 7).
