This motion seeks to mandate the Board of Trustees to investigate the feasibility of re-introducing 'Bus Stop' for the next academic year. These discussions should take place in Term 3 of this academic year.
Bring Back 'Bus Stop' in Terrace Bar

That the SU Terrace Bar has previously operated a scheme known as ‘Bus Stop’ where prices for certain drinks would be reduced between 4-9pm, Monday to Saturday. 1

That Terrace Bar no longer operates ‘Bus Stop’ prices and any mention of it has been removed from the Terrace Bar menu.2

That ‘Happy Hours’ in bars and venues can have a number of key benefits for a business including increased customer loyalty, a boost in sales and profit, and an increase in customers.3

That many students operate on a tight budget and the cost of drinks may make going inaccessible for some students.4
