About Us Events Help & Information Get Involved Talk to us
First of all, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to the first Postgrad Connections event! It was great to see so many of you there and I hope we managed to ease some of your worries about postgrad study, and given you some good ideas for your research. Also, thanks to everyone who came to our recent sold-out Sunday Lunch - the food was great and we hope you made some new friends!
This week marks your chance to elect the people who you want to represent the student body during the coming academic year in the SU’s Autumn Elections.
Why is it important that you vote? Put simply, the people who get elected will be working on your behalf during the year – whether that’s behind-the-scenes helping to oversee different areas of the SU’s operations in our Exec teams, or speaking up for students as Part-Time Officers and Faculty Reps. There’s also a chance to influence the national political conversation by voting for the people who will be representing Warwick at this year’s NUS National Conference.
It’s vital that PG students get the representation they want and deserve, which is why we’ll be asking you to cast your vote online between 9am Tuesday and 12pm Noon on Friday. Please take a few minutes to read through the candidates’ manifestos and consider who you think would be the best people to represent our diverse student body here at Warwick. Voting is all done online and only takes a few clicks – in the past, postgraduates have been underrepresented at the SU, so make sure you have your say in how it’s run!
