About Us Events Help & Information Get Involved Talk to us
Here at the Students’ Union, we’re counting down the days until the first-ever Welcome Week at the University of Warwick – and of course, that means a very warm WELCOME BACK to all you returning students!
Although predominantly aimed at first-year undergraduates, Welcome Week provides a fantastic opportunity for all students to get settled back into uni life following the summer break. Whether you’ve been actively involved in SU activities such as sports clubs and societies before or simply want to try something different at the start of a new year, this is your chance to check out what’s on offer – make sure you come along to the Sports Fair and Societies Fairs so that you can see what you might be missing out on!
The big news this week is that nominations are now OPEN in the SU’s upcoming Autumn Elections. This is your chance to get stuck back into life at Warwick by representing your fellow students and helping to enact positive change on campus – see below for info about the various positions that are available, and find out how YOU can get involved!
Of course, students from all year-groups are also able to attend our events programme during Welcome Week – tickets for evening events are on sale now, and selling fast! (Tickets for events in Term 1 such as Pop! and Skool Dayz go on sale at Noon on 27th September). There are also a range of daytime activities which are open to all students - make sure you come along to the Welcome Fair this weekend to pick up a free goody bag and get your hands on loads of student-friendly deals!
Finally, if there’s anything we can help you out with in terms of getting settled for the new year, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the SU Advice Centre team - they’ll do their best to help you out or point you in the direction of someone who can!
