“A very warm welcome to each and every one of you! |
My name is Liam Jackson, and I’ve been elected to serve as the President of Warwick Students’ Union for the coming academic year. The SU is a not-for-profit organisation run by students, for students – all the money we make in our food outlets, bars and nightclubs is directly reinvested back into services which benefit the student community here at Warwick! |
More importantly, the SU is here for YOU during your time at University. We provide hundreds of student-run Societies and Sports Clubs to help you meet like-minded people, explore existing interests or try something new. Our Advice Centre team work tirelessly throughout the year to help solve students’ problems and address their concerns – whether that’s related to accommodation, personal wellbeing, visa issues or academic appeals. Alternatively, if you want to just grab a bite to eat with us or have a great night out on campus, we’re here for that too! |
And of course, there are endless opportunities to get involved! Whether you want to become a Course Rep or Part-Time Officer and represent your fellow students, vote in SU Elections or explore the many volunteering positions available in both your SU and the local area, we’re here to help make it happen. |
I’m part of a 7-strong full-time elected Student Officer team, who work on your behalf throughout the year – read on to find out more about this year’s team, and make sure you check out our Welcome webpages and UG Welcome Guide to get a flavour of what’s happening over the coming months. Tickets for Welcome Week events go on sale online at Noon on Monday 10th September, the same time that all of the Welcome Week events become available to book. For the full list, visit: warwick.ac.uk/students/welcome.
We can’t wait to meet you all! |
Best wishes,
Liam.” |
