Welcome to Warwick! There’s loads going on during Freshers Fortnight to help you settle in on campus – make sure you check out a selection of the main events taking place this week below. Don’t forget to come along to the Societies and Sports Fairs this week to find out more about the hundreds of student-run societies and sports clubs offered by the SU – for many people, these form the main focal-point of university life outside of their studies. Don’t be afraid to try something new, as it could end up changing your life!
We’re also here to offer advice and welfare support if you are struggling with any aspect of university life - more details can be found on our website at www.warwicksu.com/advice. . SU Welfare & Campaigns Officer CHLOE WYNNE has put together some useful information for new students, covering topics such as coping with a new living environment, managing competing pressures and settling into study: Visit https://www.warwicksu.com/campaigning/areyouready/newcomers/ to find out more.
The Students’ Union is here to support you throughout what will hopefully be the best few years of your life here. We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation which invests all the proceeds from our commercial outlets (The Copper Rooms, The Bread Oven, Curiositea, The Dirty Duck, The Terrace Bar and Xananas) back into services which directly benefit YOU, the student body. We hope you have a great first term, and look forward to seeing you out and about during the coming weeks!
