Well, we won VARSITY again… standard. Congratulations to everyone who represented #teamwarwick throughout the week and helped us retain the title for a 27th consecutive year! We now move on to one of the biggest events in the SU calendar: ELECTIONS 2017.

Why does it all matter? Put simply, the people who you elect this week will become the lead student representatives at Warwick for the next academic year. Sabbatical Officers are the individuals who look after the various different areas of the SU’s daily operations – it’s therefore really important that you take the time to read their manifestos and vote for the people who you’re confident will do the best job! There’ll be an opportunity to quiz the Sabbatical Officer candidates at 5pm on Monday and Tuesday in the SU Atrium at Candidate Question Time, while you can engage with them online or in person around campus during the week.

We’re also electing Part-Time Officers to head up our campus liberation communities, as well as NUS Delegates, who will be Warwick’s representatives at the upcoming NUS National Conference. Please make sure you vote online from 9am Wednesday to ensure that students’ voices are represented here in the SU – the results will be announced live in The Dirty Duck from 9pm on Friday!

Elsewhere, Mental Health Awareness Week provides a valuable opportunity to reflect on the steps you can take to maintain your wellbeing at University – see below for a link to the full events programme.
