Welcome back to Warwick – we hope you had an enjoyable summer break!
As returning students, you will have different priorities and may face a whole new set of challenges throughout the year. The SU is here to support you in any way we can – whether that’s through involvement in clubs & societies, academic representation, by consulting our Student Advice Centre team or just grabbing a bite to eat in one of our outlets!
You will notice some major changes to campus due to the redevelopment works, so please be aware that this has affected certain bus routes – we’ve posted more info about these below. As always, if you have any concerns whatsoever at this busy and potentially stressful time of year, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via enquiries@warwicksu.com and we will do our very best to try and help!

 With the completion of the new Bus Interchange, there have been several changes to key routes. In particular, the 12 is now the ‘11U’ and both this and the 11 service no longer pick up or drop off outside the Humanities Building. Visit the link above for full details!

 Want to represent your fellow students and help to make the SU and University the best that they can be? Nominations are now open in the Autumn Elections, with loads of different positions available!

 We are keen that all students are made aware of potential problems following the recent campus redevelopment works. Please take a few minutes to read SU President Isaac Leigh’s latest blog post on road safety!

 The SU’s Student Advice Centre provides a free, confidential and independent service for all Warwick students on a range of issues including housing, health, academic appeals, consumer advice and more. Please get in touch if you need us for anything!

 Interested in joining a sports team this year? Come along to the Sports Centre between 11am-5:30pm this Tuesday to find out more about the incredible range of sporting opportunities available here at Warwick.

 Student societies are a great way to meet new people, explore existing interests or try something new – it’s never too late to get involved, so make sure you visit the Societies Fair on 7th & 8th October in the Sports Centre to find out what’s on offer!

 Interested in finding out how your SU is run, or want to learn more about the new democratic system? Come along to the SU Atrium between 10am-4pm this Friday to discover how it all works and speak to members of the Officer Team.

 Also on Friday (this time in the Panorama Rooms of the Rootes Social Building from 10am-3:30pm) will be a chance to find out more about all the amazing opportunities to volunteer in the local area. Whether you’re looking for a one-off project or more sustained engagement, it’s a great way to give something back during your time at university!

 Our campus culture is one of respect, so join the sex-education revolution at Warwick this Freshers by coming along to an ‘I Heart Consent’ workshop! Open to all students, these interactive 90-minute sessions provide a safe space for you to discuss the myths and facts around sexual violence.
|

 The Festival of the Imagination takes place on 16th-17th October 2015 and will be the centrepiece of Warwick’s 50th anniversary celebrations – click through to find out more.
